Apply a sufficient amount of shampoo to wet hair, massage carefully into the scalp, then rinse thoroughly with plenty of warm water.

Shampoo your hair twice each time. During the first wash, product residues, oils, and skin flakes are usually removed. It's only during the second lathering that the hair, especially the scalp, is properly cleansed and additionally nourished. You will also notice that the shampoo lathers much better the second time.
